Treatment for managing tinnitus isn't a one-size-fits-all approach. Some who wear hearing aids to treat hearing loss notice less tinnitus while wearing their devices. There's no specific cure for tinnitus, but it's important that if you start experiencing these noises to be checked by an audiologist. In most cases, the tinnitus or noises will start years before any identifiable hearing loss. ![]() Injury to them brings on hearing loss and often tinnitus. The health of these hair cells is important for sending signals to the auditory nerve and ultimately the brain. So what causes tinnitus? Experts believe it comes from damage to the hair cells in the inner ear. It's especially bothersome when I'm trying to have a conversation or fall asleep. Mine is intermittent, catching me off guard when I least expect it. The sound, or sounds, may be intermittent or annoyingly continuous in one or both ears. Nearly 45 million people suffer from tinnitus or head noises. Sometimes they don't sound like crickets, but a ringing, hissing and even chirping. I hear them more in one ear than the other. Others only experience pulsatile tinnitus when they are lying down.I hear them all the time, even in the winter. Some may only experience pulsatile tinnitus in one ear. But there can also be other causes of pulsatile tinnitus. With pulsatile tinnitus, the effect of stress is indirect as stress can exacerbate blood pressure. Also high blood pressure or a narrowing of a blood vessel near the ear may cause pulsatile tinnitus. ![]() Changes in the blood flow such as general increased blood flow, local increased blood flow or turbulent blood flow may be the cause. There can be different possible causes for pulsatile tinnitus. As the spiritual energy increases, it can make the heart to go beat faster. Another reason is that the heart is the center of the spiritual energy. When your energy begins to shift and move, it can make the heart beat faster. Next is that the heart is the center of the physical body. Clairaudience (clear hearing) can manifest internally, meaning heard within your mind, or externally, meaning heard as a voice or a noise outside of yourself. ![]() Pulsatile tinnitus, the thumping in the ear, is often related to the blood flow in the vessels (arteries and veins) near the ears or an increased awareness of the blood flow around the ears.
